HELLO, I'M JONATHAN.

I think and build atypically.

Five-time founder. Neurodivergent. French Canadian in Florida. I move fast, decide in days, and build things most people would talk about for months. Sometimes I break things. Always I learn.

Jonathan Lamer

I've raised over $8M, sold into the biggest retailers in North America, and built a brain that refuses to do anything the conventional way.

WHERE I CAME FROM

I've changed my life three times. Each time started in a hard place.

I was diagnosed neurodivergent young. Too hyper, too distracted, "too much." That label followed me into school, and I didn't handle it well. By 15, I'd dropped out and was on a path that didn't end anywhere good.

At 18, I started my first business. Not because I had a plan, but because I needed structure my brain could actually live with. Entrepreneurship became my way of working with how I'm wired instead of against it.

By 30, I'd built and lost everything. Most people would have called it quits. I immigrated to a new country instead, with no backup plan and broken English. I learned fast because I had to.

In 2023, we hit seven figures in sales before we had a finished product. Today, the businesses I'm part of generate millions in revenue across North America. I've raised over $8M in funding across ventures.

None of it would have happened without Geneviève. She believed in me before the world did. Together, we built this life. And we created our greatest project: our son James.

Your struggle doesn't disqualify you. Your difference is your edge. Your past isn't your prison. It's your map.

Success isn't one definition. It's whatever lets you sleep at night and wake up wanting more. If my story helps one person believe they can change theirs, then it was worth sharing.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

How I actually work.

  1. 01

    I give first. Always.

I bring more than I take to every relationship. I work with givers, not takers.

  2. 02

    I move fast or I don't move.

I decide quickly, execute aggressively, and pivot when something isn't working. I don't debate for a month.

  3. 03

I sell the vision before I build the thing.

It's how I funded my biggest ventures. It's how I de-risk every project since. Validate with buyers first. Build what they actually want.

  4. 04

    I cross borders.

Canada to US. US to Canada. International to North America. Crossing borders is my literal life and my literal work.

  5. 05

I'm direct. Sometimes blunt. It's the ADHD brain.

But I'm always loyal. I give my full energy to the people and projects I commit to. If you can handle the honesty, you'll get everything I've got.

THINGS I BELIEVE

The principles that shape the work.

  • Atypical brains build the most interesting companies.
  • Selling the vision beats building the product first. Every time.
  • Execution outweighs strategy nine times out of ten.
  • Speed of decision is a competitive advantage most founders waste.
  • The work you avoid is usually the work that matters most.
  • Crossing borders teaches you what's actually transferable and what's local noise.
  • Your unique wiring is a feature, not a bug. Stop trying to fix it.

OFF-PAPER

Who I am when I'm not building.

I live in Florida with my wife Geneviève and our son James. We left Quebec mid-COVID, sold everything we owned, and bet on a new life in the US. We're still building that bet, every day.

Geneviève has been the constant. She believed in me before the world did, and she's the reason any of this exists. She runs her own coaching practice now, helping other women through their own hard transitions.

When I'm not working, I'm with them. Or outdoors. Or deep in a side project that will probably never make money but teaches me something I needed to learn.

LET'S TALK

Want to work together? Or just say hi?

The fastest way is to book a call. The most human way is LinkedIn. Either works for me.

I don't list a public email. Calls and LinkedIn move faster than threads.
